Product

A product holds basic information which is copied to inventory when stock is created

  1. Product has brand information
  2. Product has model information
  3. Product has family and generic name

Inventory

A product when assigned with Unique Identifier and place, becomes Inventory

  1. Product should be at some place (stock place)
  2. Product can be serialed (with serial number e.g. TV, Fridge, Laptops) or non serialed (without serial number, e.g. nuts and botls)
  3. Serialed Product, when they are put at stock are assigned with unique identifier (serial number, ISBN etc..)
  4. Non Serialed Product, when they are put at stock, must have some quantity (serial number, ISBN etc..)
  5. Serialed product might have warranty information
  6. Warranty validaty can be specified when product is purchsed/installed at customer location
